The Crown Process

Fitting a crown typically requires two visits to our office:

First Visit: We remove any decay and carefully shape the tooth to receive the crown. Then we take a precise impression and place a temporary crown to protect your tooth while your permanent restoration is being crafted.

Second Visit: We remove the temporary crown, fit and adjust your final crown, and cement it securely into place.

When Tooth Loss Occurs: Bridges

Few incidents have greater impact on dental health and personal appearance than tooth loss. When one or more teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can drift out of position, leading to changes in your bite, loss of additional teeth, decay, and gum disease.

A bridge is one or more replacement teeth anchored by crowns on each side, literally "bridging" the gap left by missing teeth.

The Bridge Process

Placing a bridge typically involves three visits:

First Visit: We prepare the teeth on each side of the space to receive crowns and take an impression of the entire area. A temporary bridge is fitted to protect your teeth.

Second Visit: We try in the metal framework of the bridge to ensure proper fit and accuracy.

Final Visit: We place, adjust, and cement your fixed bridge securely.
